Consent Process
This process gives parents the ability to choose if they want their child to participate in the survey.
New this year, parents will only need to complete a permission form if they do not want their child to take the survey (opt-out). Schools will be asked to distribute permission materials 4 weeks before the survey to parents in at least 2 modalities (e.g., email, Google Classroom). Students will also be able to choose whether or not they want to participate, even if their parent does not opt them out.
